We braved the rain today to spend some time outside for Outdoor Classroom Day.

Having learnt a little about the artist Andy Goldsworthy we were inspired to create our own natural ‘Land Art’.

We worked together as a group to collect natural things and then designed our sculpture.

Year 4 enjoyed a great trip to The Charles Dickens’ Birthplace Museum. It was the perfect start to our topic on ‘Inspiring British Figures’.

As we were walking to the Birthplace in Old Commercial Road, we used our map skills to plan a route from school.

We will be studying two of Charles Dickens’ books in our English lessons, Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol.
