14th  April 2026

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the start of our summer term. I hope that Easter brought you a time of rest, renewal and joyful celebration. As we return to school, we carry with us the hope of resurrection and the reminder that God walks alongside us in all that we do.

This term is always a special one in the life of our school. The lighter days, warmer weather and sense of new beginnings creates a wonderful atmosphere for learning and growing. Our children return with fresh energy and enthusiasm ready for the opportunities ahead, embracing our mission of loving to learn and learning to love.

Thank you

Thank you for the kind words, gifts and cards that were shared with staff before Easter. They were very much appreciated as is your ongoing partnership and support.

Thank you also to the children who led the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday at the cathedral. Thank you for giving up your time and for leading a prayerful and reflective service for our community.

Big Lent Walk

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Big Lent Walk to raise money for CAFOD. We are pleased to have raised over £100 to help fight global poverty. If you haven’t donated yet, there is still time so please go to our fundraising page to help us meet our £200 target.

Living Eggs

As part of our work on Easter and new life, we welcomed 10 Living Eggs in to school this week. They are in the main office where we will watch them hatch and grow. Children will have the opportunity to marvel at the wonder of new life as they watch and handle the tiny chicks for the next 2 weeks. You are very welcome to come in and see the chicks with your child at the beginning or end of the day, before they return to the farm on Friday 24th April.

Mrs Gardner and Mrs Brown

Please continue to pray for Mrs Gardner and Mrs Brown who are both doing incredibly well but are not yet able to return to work.
