Congratulations to our Pupil of the Term

and Star Award Winners

Year 5 have been working really hard on their topic homework.

Asia had some help from her Nan and made the whole class some delicious samosas. We had a real taste of India!

Dominika and her Mum made a stunning model of the Taj Mahal using polystyrene! It must have taken them ages to carve all the lovely details.  Eryk has been busy making a Taj Mahal entirely out of fondant icing! He has also made a very stylish waistcoat using recycled paper…..thanks to his Mum for all her help.

Cameron has been the ‘Class Scientist’ this half term. He demonstrated his bouncing egg to us all. He had soaked it in vinegar overnight which made the shell soft. It was amazing!

South Downs Planetarium

We had a fantastic day out when we visited the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester. It was a great end to our topic on the Earth, Sun and Moon.

Dr John and his assistants showed us the night sky in the dome and answered lots of our questions about the Galaxy.

Marwell Zoo

As part of our Year Five English lessons, we have been reading a story set in the

Amazon. To help us understand about the region, we visited Marwell Zoological Park,
near Winchester.
Not only did we see animals and plants from the Amazon, we also saw endangered
species from around the world.
