Year 2

Tudor Morning


Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed our Tudor morning activities which included- churning to make butter, sewing a sampler, creating a Tudor Rose and a moving armour figure. The children's costumes were amazing!


Family Prayer Day

As part of our Oscar Romero Award, Year 2 invited their parents in to experience different types of pray that focus our faith.

A Flying Visit for Year 2

Year 2 had some special visitors on Wednesday 15th April, brought in by Paul and Mandy were Ember, Polly and Belle, an Eagle Owl, a Harris Hawk and a Peregrine Falcon.


The children were amazed at their flying around the playground, but I'm not sure the seagulls and crows were!

Sports Relief

Year 2 showed great determination running a mile for Sports Relief. Meeting Olympic swimmer Katie Sexton was a real inspiration for us to follow our goals.

Infant Voices Festival


Year Two had a wonderful time at the Infant Voices Festival. I'm sure you were all proud of how well the child performed and represented the school. Here are some of the pictures for you and the children to remember the experience.


Science Week


During Science Week Year 2 welcomed Anna from the Orca Charity in Portsmouth. We found out about Cetaceans- Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises.

Year 2's Autumn Term Homework! Congratulations children.


Year 2 were so excited when it started to snow!

'Hands on Science'

Year 1 and 2 welcomed Helen from 'Hands On Science' today.


They enjoyed a day of investigating flight including making- kites, rockets and gliders.

Year 2 have been using Princess and the White Bear King to inspire their writing through drama and artwork.

Year 2 visit to Lord Mayor's Parlour

Year 2 had a great time at the Lord Mayor's Parlour singing at the Hub's songbook launch. They performed beautifully even though it was right on their lunchtime and they were all very hungry!

Chinese food

Year 2 found ot about Chinese food by designing and making their own Spring Rolls- they were yummy.

Chinese Dragon

Year 2 watched a video of a Chinese Dragon dance and were inspired to make their own. They thought about the styles of music and how the conductor lead the dancers.

Ceilidh Festival

14 children from Year 2 went to The Irish Club to take part in a Ceilidh Festival- it was great fun and we got to dance and meet children from other local primary schools.

It was thirsty work!
