Year 1 have planned and created healthy smoothies - don't they look yammy!?

Year 1 have been looking at the symbols of the Holy Spirit. We created kites for the symbol of wind and decorated them with symbol of fire. Each kite has something we would like the Holy Spirit's help with.

Year 1 exploring making halves and quarters.

World Maths Day 2022

Year 1 enjoyed investigating how many

daisies were in the frizbee they threw.

Year 1 shared their favourite books with each other and matched traditional tale characters with a description. Mrs Warren came to read us Funny Bones.

For Year One's Drama Day the children dressed up as toys and explored using different types of puppets. It was great fun!

Year 1 had a wonderful time preparing and taking part in the Izzy Gizmo concert-music in the round-at the Guildhall.

Year 1 enjoyed playing games from Australia, Ghana and Greece. We know that children around the world enjoy playing games just like us!

Y1 created fireworks pictures and thought about how we can enjoy fireworks in a safe way.

Year 1 have been creating an Autumn Dance - being different coloured leaves swirling around each other.

Year 1 have been learning about how we care for God's creation in different ways-litter picking, helping others and looking after plants.

Year 1 were set a Science Investigation to find the tallest and shortest person on their table.

Year 1 had a wonderful day making observational drawings of the Canoe Lake and identifying physical and human features at Southsea Beach.

Year 1 hunting for signs of Autumn.

Year 1 explored their sense of touch-first we used a split pin to see how sensitive our skin is to touch, then we tried to guess what an object was just by feeling with our hands.
