Group of Year 6 visit the Lord Mayor

A group of Year 6 had the opportunity last week to join pupils from three other schools in the City at the Guildhall.   They met the Lord Mayor in his parlour, viewed the Council Chambers and saw the valuable artefacts dating back hundreds of years that are owned by the City.   They were also introduced to Professor Francis Davis, who on behalf of the Cathedral Innovation Team had organised the event.

The visit ended with a formal meal, speeches and toasts.  It was quite an occasion.  It was nice to meet up with Joe David a former pupil, now working as an LSA who was accompanying the pupils from Mayfield to the event. He will be beginning his training as a teacher in September.
