Adult Education Courses – Autumn 2015

Colour Therapy – 9th November 2015, 7:00-9:00pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

Colour influences the choices we make in everyday life from clothes that we wear to how we decorate our homes. We will look at the psychology of colour and how it affects our moods. Explore the Chakra system and how we can use colour as a therapy.


Sketching for All – 10th November 2015, 6:30-8:30pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

Learn skills to help you draw from observation; measuring, shading & compositional awareness.  


Crochet for Beginners – 10th November 2015, 6:30-8:30pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

Learn how to make squares and flowers which can then be used to make a variety of projects. We will look at basic patterns and how to read them.


Tarot for Today - 10th November 2015, 7:00-9:00pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

Explore the history, art and symbolism of the cards and how to interpret them. Used as a modern counselling tool and for self-reflection.


Jewellery Making for Beginners – 11th November 2015, 6:30-8:30pm, 5 weeks, £50.00

During this course students will make their own creative pieces using beading techniques and skills using a range of tools to make necklaces, fixed wire chokers, wired framed bangles & alternative style bracelets.



Knitting for Beginners – 11th November 2015, 6:30-8:30pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

This course will introduce you to basic techniques; you will learn how to cast on and off, knit and purl, along with combinations of different stitches, and how to assemble your item.


A Closer Look at Astrology - 11th November 2015, 7:00-9:00pm, 5 weeks, £40.00

Understand the astrological meaning behind the planets, zodiac signs and the house system. Improve your knowledge and interpretation of birth charts.


Christmas Sewing – 1st December 2015, 6:30-8:30pm, 3 weeks, £22.50

Special Sewing projects for the festive season. Open to all abilities


Basic Dressmaking – TBC, 6:30-8:30pm, 5 weeks, £37.50

With fabric and a commercial pattern of your choice, learn how to cut and assemble your garment. Basic sewing skills would be of benefit

Most courses will be repeated throughout the year along with a few new courses added for the Spring Term, such as…Indian Head Massage, Emotional Health and Well-being, Reiki, Watercolour Painting, Embroidery, How to Use a Sewing Machine, Pattern Cutting, Crochet for Improvers, Get by in French, Get by in Spanish
